NIST has released official post-quantum standards
NIST Has Released Its First Post-Quantum Cryptography Standards In August 2024, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) approved three post-quantum cryptography standards to protect against future quantum computing threats (NIST, 2024).
“Q-Day” (when quantum breaks current encryption) is approaching fast.
Experts anticipate that by 2030, quantum computers could break current encryption methods, a scenario known as 'Q-Day' (Tom's Guide, 2024).
